法國將在三天後舉行總統大選首輪投票，目前有4位候選人民調相近，游移票高達3成，讓這場大選成為最難預測結果的一次。根據最新公布的民調顯示，中間派總統候選人馬克宏(Emmanuel Macron)甩開領先極右派瑪琳．雷朋(Marine LePen)，領先幅度擴大，贏得首輪投票機率變高。
路透社報導，雖然馬克宏拉大領先幅度，不過保守派候選人費雍(Francois Fillon)與近來聲勢看漲的極左派網路訂飯店便宜的梅蘭雄(Jean-Luc Melenchon)後來居上，四人民調差距不大，勝負難料。
原本聲勢最高的費雍，因乾薪門事件重挫選情，馬克宏乘勢追上，支持度與極右派的瑪琳．雷朋在伯仲之間。而在選前出現的大黑馬，是極左派的梅蘭雄，目前民調與費雍難分軒輊，而兩人與馬克宏及雷朋的支持率差距並不懸殊。
儘管馬克宏在最新民調中拉開雷朋的差距，不過以他21.3%到26.2%之間的支持續，較瑪琳．雷朋的20.1%到25.2%之間，再加上不確定選票，讓這次選舉被稱為「史上最難預料大選」。而費雍與梅蘭雄，也分別有16.6%到21.6%之間，及16.6%到21.3%之間的支持率。
自1965年起，法國總統大選採直接普選兩輪投票制，確保當選總統的候選人取得絕對多數選票。在第一輪投票中取得過半數選票的候選人，將直接當選，任期5年。若候選人中無人票數過半，則由取得最多票數的前兩名候選人，進入第2輪投票對決。
